A nice crowd was in attendance for the 19th Daltons on the Sycamore Production Sale the Saturday of the Easter holiday weekend. A beautiful day to have the first Dalton joint female and bull sale with buyers from 14 states and a sale of 70 Lots grossing $272,800 to average $3,897. 43 female lots grossed 194,400 to average $4,533 and 27 bulls grossed $77,900 to average $2885.

Lot 1 the featured and highlighted half interest female was the top-selling lot of the day selling to Hill Crest and Poorhouse Angus in VA for $15,500.

Lot 3A was the second high-selling female of the day selling to Long Lane Farm in TN for $10,750, her maternal sister Lot 3B was selected by BoBo Angus in AL for $6,500 and a heifer pregnancy from her dam sold to BoBo Angus for $4,750.

Lot 4A, a fancy baby heifer calf was selected by Belle Point Ranch in AR for $6,500 with a maternal sister heifer pregnancy, Lot 4A selling to Deer Valley Farm for $4,000.

Lot 8, was the co-top-selling bred heifer selling to Culp Farms in TN for $6,500 with Lot 18 selling to Spruce Mountain Ranch in CO for $6,500.

Spruce Mountain Ranch selected Lot 14 as a featured spring yearling for $6,250.

Banner Angus in TN selected Lot 33 as the top-selling fall bred cow of the day for $4,500.

It was a very warm spring day in central Virginia as the Doug Dalton Family and Mgr. Dennis Eastin rolled out the welcome carpet to a large crowd. The sale was held in the new all-weather sale facility on the farm for Dalton on the Sycamores’ 17th Annual Female Sale.

Nick Wehrmann and Richard McClung once again presented a stellar group of bulls at their annual bull sale in historic New Market, Virginia. A large crowd of commercial cattleman, purebred breeders, and bull stud representatives filled the sale barn on the crisp early spring morning.

Top-Selling Lots:

Lot 1: Rito 9M25 of Rita 5F56 Pred - A definite herd bull, this Predestined x Future Direction x Rita 1I98 bull sold half-interest to Springfield Angus in North Carolina for $50,000. This bull had already been leased by Genex Cooperative, Inc. 9M25 had quite a few friends on sale day and will be used by many top breeders this spring.

Lot 7: Rito 9G31 of Rita 6EMK GPS - Prime Star x Emblazon x Rita 4L1 combination worked very well here to produce the second high seller of the day. Luke Anderson of North Carolina bid $19,000 for this standout, super low birth weight bull.

Lot 2: Rito 9B30 of Rita 5M13 BR28 - The top pick of TC Ranch in Nebraska for $18,000 was this top performing son of B/R Ambush 28.

Lot 3: Rito 8MF9 of Rita 6S4 Pred - Predestined x Alliance x 2536 produced a standout performer that sold to Bailey Patterson of Texas for $15,000.

Lot 22: Rito 954 of Rita 7E2 5050 - This very complete, low birth weight son of New Design 5050 out of an In Focus dam was the top pick of the Select Sires bull stud and sold to them for $15,000.

Lot 5: Rito 9M24 of Rita 5F56 Pred - This flush brother to Lot 1 sold to Doug Smith of Tennessee for $14,000.

Lot 4: Rito 8MM6 of Rita 5FK8 Pred - This top-scanning son of Predestined who earned an IMF ratio of 144 sold to Sam Daniel of North Carolina for $10,000.

Lot 2A & B & C- This February Pendleton along with pregnancies sired by EXT and Credence out of Basin Lucy 338R sold lot 2A to Three Tree Ranch of Georgia for $16,000, lot 2B to Lone Oak Angus of Tennessee for $6,000 and lot 2C to Riverbend Ranch of Idaho for $14,500.

Lot 16- This stout Predestined x EXT x 4465 daughter sold to 44 Farms of Texas for $16,000.

Lot 11- An excellent donor cow sired by Wulffs EXT out of 491G along with her fall heifer calf sired by 208 sold ½ interest to Sonrise Ranch of Oklahoma for $15,000.

Lot 33- This fancy Objective x Predestined x Expectation February heifer sold to Bobo Angus of Alabama and Express Ranches of Oklahoma for $15,000.

Lot 23X- An added lot 004 x RP 3rd Bushwacker x Everelda Entense 57D daughter sold to Anderson Circle Farms of Kentucky for $12,500.
